Always the divine creator paints in artistic excellence the beauty of the natural world, but the colours of autumn in warm and rich hues of reds and yellows, oranges, browns and golds, evoke a sense of mystery, reaching deeper into the heart like a silent invitation to a secret realm that somehow evades the minds language, and speaks without words.
Coming closer to the heart is Autumns gift. The golden leaves wait to fall to become food for the roots that fed them completing a cycle. They tell the story of the cyclical nature of life, all forms are ever changing, growing, ever moving and becoming, completing their cycle of time and transforming again. The trees shed their leaves without effort, teaching us the wisdom of letting go with ease. We enter a time for accepting the coming of Autumn, remembering the warm fires of home, nurturing the body, heart and mind, coming closer to the more subtle aspects of who we are.
When we look at the everchanging, and at what falls away, we are invited towards what stays the same. We may rest into a quiet place and come closer to ourself, into the inner landscape of introspection and meditation, exploring the ground that holds the rise and fall of each sacred breath, and deeper still, to the place where poetry dances before the birth of prose, and the shimmering essence of life hums its silent song. We may sink into the unchanging that holds the everchanging of everything, and remember we are home, here, now and always, through all the seasons of time into eternity.
